This course is accessible for nurses and clinical officers who want to become competent providers of care for patients with renal problems and in particular provide dialysis care. The course will enable learners to acquire more in-depth understanding of renal pathologies and other pathologies interfering with renal function, and on the various available methods and equipment available for dialysis to replace renal function. Based on this, participants will acquire competence in various skills required to provide renal care to the patient as well as management of such equipment.

This six-months? certificate course is provided as a college and dialysis centre based course. The first two months will be college based at North Coast Medical Training College followed by a four-months? supervised clinical attachment at specific dialysis centres within Mombasa County. The course is carried out as a collaboration between North Coast Medical Training College, Quality Care Dialysis from the United States, and the specific Dialysis Centers.
